Job Title: Senior Software Tester for Agricultural Solutions

TWK Agri is seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester to join our team in Gauteng, Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on agricultural solutions.

Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specification and deliverables. You will create detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts to verify functionality, performance, usability, and reliability of software applications.

You will also estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities, monitor bug resolution efforts, and track successes. Additionally, you will perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs, and liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. Certifications in quality assurance or software testing are advantageous. Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance is also essential.

You should have a solid knowledge of SQL400 and scripting, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment are also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Certifications in quality assurance or software testing (advantageous)
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
  • Solid knowledge of SQL400 and scripting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
