Job Description

RPO Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Manager to join our client's furniture manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee the technical operations of the manufacturing process and ensure the delivery of high-quality furniture products.

As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. You will collaborate closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to drive innovation and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Technical Operations Team: Manage all technical aspects of the furniture manufacturing process, including production planning, quality control, and technical support.
  • Develop and Implement Efficient Processes: Design, implement, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with design teams to ensure product specifications are met, and design for manufacturability is implemented.
  • Conduct Regular Assessments: Regularly assess production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize productivity.
  • Oversee Quality Control: Ensure products meet design and safety standards by implementing and maintaining quality control measures.
  • Train and Mentor Staff: Train and mentor staff in technical operations and best practices to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in furniture manufacturing to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Manage Budgets and Resources: Manage budgets and resources efficiently to optimize productivity and ensure the company's financial goals are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical management within the furniture manufacturing industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of optimizing production processes and improving efficiency.
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of furniture design and manufacturing techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and other manufacturing technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
