Sales Director for Large Glass Operations

Abantu Staffing Solutions seeks a highly skilled Sales Director to lead our large glass operations team. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive sales growth in a competitive market.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Sales Director who can maintain current business relationships, secure new business opportunities, and achieve monthly and yearly customer targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the automotive industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze complex data to inform business decisions.
Responsibilities- Maintain current business relationships with large glass customers, securing profitable new business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic plan.
- Achieve monthly and yearly customer targets, ensuring accurate cost analysis on customer-specific parts to support effective business decisions.
- Network with existing and potential customers to create and identify potential growth opportunities, driving sales and maintaining sound relationships.
- Ensure price increase justifications are timeously submitted to customers with all documentation and additional information required.
- Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with the Alstom Economic Development Plan and requirements.
- Analyze customer forecasts, comparing them to contract and/or previous forecasts and selling rates to ensure accuracy in managing inventories and delivery performance.
- Track delivery performance and adverse buy measurements, communicating variances with customers.
- Communicate trends and variances with plant/supply chain management to ensure alignment and implementation.
- Ensure effective communication of relevant information to stakeholders to support effective decision-making for the business.
- Identify Value Added/Value Engineering opportunities to reduce costs and drive profitability within the customer base.
- Ensure accurate and timely costing, analysis, and pricing uploads for internal/external customers to support business decisions and drive profitability.
- 5 years' experience in a Sales and Marketing role, with a minimum 5 years in the automotive industry.
- 2 years' experience in a leadership role, with a strong background in business development and relationship management.
- B.Tech or Degree in Marketing, Finance, Logistics, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, financial, and communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and drive sales growth.
The salary range for this position is R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
