We are seeking a driven and ambitious Financial Director to head up our finance team and provide strategic support to our CFO and senior management team.

You will ensure the financial integrity of the finance function and develop strong business planning, financial control, and reporting to maximize efficiencies and opportunities for growth.

This role would suit a commercially minded and astute financial leader who enjoys taking a proactive role in a fast-paced growth company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and Direct the Finance Team: Deliver accurate and regular management information to the Board and departments and divisions.
  2. Develop Financial Reporting Processes: Lead the evolution of the Company's financial reporting processes and business systems.
  3. Support Budgetary Planning: Assist the MD and the company in the budgetary planning and forecasting processes.
  4. Ensure Financial Compliance: Ensure all financial accounting and administration functions, internal controls, and reconciliations are performed properly.
  5. Produce Management Accounts: Generate and interpret management accounts.
  6. Ensure Year-End Audit: Ensure the year-end audit is performed properly.
  7. Manage Cash Flow: Generate and maintain the group's cash flow and budgeting requirements.
  8. Ensure Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory matters.
  9. Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  10. Reporting and Cost Control: Report on budget variances and cost control.
  11. Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to the finance team.
Requirements:
  1. An accounting qualification, such as ACA/ACCA or CIMA.
  2. 5 to 7 years post-qualification experience in a financial management role (Financial Manager or FD).
  3. Strong proficiency in financial software and databases.
  4. Experience working with financial forecasting software is a strong advantage.

Salary: R 80 000 a month
