We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our team at Curiska (Pty) Ltd.
Job SummaryThe Financial Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of the organization, driving the organization's financial and operational strategy and planning. This includes managing and overseeing the business support function to enable the achievement of business plans and results, which must be compliant with legal requirements, policy, and procedure, as well as ethical business practice.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full finance function, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and manage divisional budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Develop financial models to support business expansion and growth initiatives.
- Produce and distribute monthly management reports, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
- Maintain control over all financial transactions, ensuring the organization's liquidity and cash flow management.
- Design and implement financial models to support venture and expansion initiatives.
- Present financial models and provide strategic guidance to senior executives.
- Manage cash flow and cash spend on projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage the valuation of new investment opportunities, providing recommendations to senior executives.
- Provide financial strategic guidance to senior executives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the organization's accounting and finance systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop business plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Build credibility, relationships, and maintain communication mechanisms with financial staff, senior executives, and external stakeholders.
- Manage a team of staff involved with day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring effective performance and productivity.
- Group secretarial duties, ensuring efficient and effective administrative support.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) - Not negotiable.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
- Broad knowledge of accounting and business principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
