FNB Namibia is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Exchange Control Expert. As a key member of our commercial forex department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all cross-border payments comply with the requirements of the South African Reserve Bank.
Key Responsibilities:- To vet and ensure all cross-border payments meet the requirements of the South African Reserve Bank prior to payment release.
- To consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with exchange control rules.
- To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate capture of Balance of Payment (BOP) information and applying the correct section of the Reserve Bank's rulings before releasing payments. You will also need to keep abreast of statutory and legislative requirements related to exchange control and ensure implementation within our business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Reserve Bank's exchange control rules and regulations. A relevant diploma or degree in banking or compliance is essential, along with 1+ years of experience in foreign exchange. Exposure to cross-border payments and knowledge of compliance procedures are also highly desirable.
