About the Role

We are seeking a COMPENSATION STRATEGIST to join our team at Gap Consulting. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for analyzing compensation trends and preparing reports for management on the effectiveness of remuneration strategies. You will also be responsible for monitoring key metrics such as turnover rates linked to compensation satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Finance, or a related field (NQF Level 7) and advanced certifications such as SARA Reward Specialist or GRP certification are advantageous. A minimum of 6 years in a remuneration or benefits management/senior specialist role is required.

The COMPENSATION STRATEGIST will also be responsible for conducting employee satisfaction surveys to assess the effectiveness of compensation programs and providing education and training to employees on available benefits and policies.

In this role, you will work closely with the senior management team to develop and review standard operating procedures for payroll processes and ensure that standard controls are in place and adhered to. You will also be responsible for facilitating and managing job grading, evaluations, and classifications aligned to industry compensation structures.

Your expertise in remuneration benchmarking (e.g. Remchannel, REMmeasure) and excellent working knowledge of financial transactions, particularly as it relates to payroll and budgeting, will be highly valued.
