Theatre Decontamination Specialist

A vacancy exists for a CSSD Supervisor at Africa Health Care, reporting to the Theatre Unit Manager. The purpose of this role is to support the Theatre Unit Manager in managing the various processes in the CSSD department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern nursing care principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving, analysis, and judgement skills.
Main Responsibilities- Instrument Sets and Linen Packs: Ensure correct packing and sterilization of instrument sets and linen packs for theatre and doctors' rooms in accordance with Africa Health Care's infection control standards by CSSD staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage CSSD to comply with relevant legislation and Company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Training Programs: Arrange and conduct in-service training and training programs for CSSD staff.
- Staff Performance: Assist Theatre Unit Manager in managing CSSD staff to ensure adequate and cost-effective staffing, promoting cooperative working relationships and performance management.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Assist Theatre Unit Manager in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the Department to ensure adherence to infection control and SHEQ policies and procedures.
