About the Role

Hedz Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Civil Draughtsman to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed drawings and designs for various civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality drawings and designs for civil engineering projects
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements
  • Prepare and revise drawings and designs as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and procedures
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project discussions
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced draughtspersons
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards, including client specifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other Autodesk packages
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certificate: Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice or National Diploma in Engineering
  • Membership of the South African Institute of Draughting (SAID)
  • Civil Designer or Civil 3D experience
