Job Title: Draughtsman (General Civil)
At Hedz Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Draughtsman (General Civil) to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering and have excellent drafting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and apply employee engagement practices and concepts, especially in relation to recognition, empowerment, and supportive feedback.
- Work under the direction of an engineer, engineering technologist, or engineering technician and prepare drawings in accordance with instructions received from the design team.
- Maintain accurate drawing revision control and take responsibility for the correctness of work done.
- Assist, teach, and mentor less experienced draughtspersons and undergo training to maintain existing skills or develop new skills.
Requirements:
- Certified AutoCAD Operator or National Certificate: Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice or National Diploma in Engineering.
- Membership of the South African Institute of Draughting and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil Designer, or Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards, client specifications, and construction regulations.
- Excellent three-dimensional visualisation ability, mathematical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, think critically and analytically, and adapt to a changing environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to lead and manage projects.
Salary: R25,000 - R50,000 per month
