We are seeking a seasoned Senior PFMA Compliance Specialist to join our client, a leading state-owned enterprise in South Africa. This is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in auditing, accounting, and PFMA compliance to contribute to one of the most critical functions in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough verifications and reviews of all payments to identify PFMA violations, ensuring compliance with the PFMA and their SCM policies.
  • Address outstanding actions as stipulated in the PFMA Remedial Plan, contributing to the timely resolution of compliance gaps.
  • Assist with reporting and compliance obligations related to PFMA requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as necessary to support the PFMA department's objectives and goals.

Requirements:

  • Registered with SAICA as a chartered accountant with experience in external audit.
  • Auditor General of South Africa experience.
  • 5 years relevant experience in PFMA compliance evaluation for schedule 2 entities.
