Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and developing effective strategies to meet business objectives. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings, improve supply chain efficiency, and enhance overall procurement performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including tendering, contract management, and supplier relationship development.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring compliance with PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, National Treasury SCM Framework, CIDB Regulation, and other relevant legislation.
  • Conduct market research, analyze data, and provide insights to inform procurement decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Public Finance, Commercial Law, or related field (mandatory).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Public Finance, or Commercial Law (advantageous).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public sector or private sector procurement (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft D365 – Contract Management, and ERP solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Estimated Salary Range:

R 350,000 - R 450,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
