We are seeking an experienced automotive branch manager to lead our team in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all operational aspects, including distribution, operations, customer service, human resources, administration, and sales.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of branch or regional team management experience in the automotive industry. They will also possess knowledge of material handling equipment, including parts & service, as well as strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel).

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing local market conditions and identifying current and prospective sales opportunities. You will develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans to meet goals and metrics. Additionally, you will manage budgets and allocate funds appropriately.

You will also be expected to bring out the best in the branch's personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation. This includes locating areas of improvement and proposing corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.

Furthermore, you will share knowledge with other branches and head office on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs. You will address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly and adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.

Finally, you will network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company, staying abreast of competing markets and providing reports on market movement and penetration.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least one year of branch or regional team management experience in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment, including parts & service.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel).
  • Proven knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and production goals.
  • Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Results driven and customer focused.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Knowledge of Autoline will be beneficial.
  • Local travel (within SA) will be required.
