Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Article Clerk to join our team at KMCK Talent Sourcing. As an Article Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, conducting audits, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial reporting and work closely with senior accountants or auditors to prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Conduct audits and be involved in auditing various client accounts to ensure that financial statements presented are in line with IFRS for SME.
  • Bookkeeping and data capturing and processing financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the data.
  • Assist with tax compliance and complete tax returns.
  • Conduct research and provide insights on financial and accounting matters.
  • Client management - interact with clients, respond to queries, and build relationships with them.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, including changes in accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks, such as project management, business advisory services, and other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Completed B.Com/B.Compt degree SAIPA / Accounting Field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
  • Pro-active and willing to take responsibility.
  • Analytical with ability to work well under pressure.
  • Diligent, deadline-driven, and focused.
  • Administratively inclined and entrepreneurially minded.
  • Good theoretical and technical background in Accounting, Auditing, and Tax.
  • Willing, interested, and able to continue technical growth to become an industry leader in any of these fields.
  • Keen interest in Financial Year End duties such as preparing Annual Financial Statements for clients.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid drivers license and own transport is essential.
  • Living arrangements in close proximity to office preferred.
  • Contactable references especially with regards to technical background (i.e. lectures or similar).
  • Clear ITC and criminal record (and approval for us to do checks).

Salary: R10,000.00 per month
