Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist

The role of an Infrastructure Specialist is to design, implement, and manage the infrastructure of an organization, ensuring it meets the needs of the business. This includes understanding and configuring infrastructure and environments for new implementations, as well as assisting with troubleshooting during initial deployments or post-deployment application issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, understand, and document business requirements for new implementations.
  • Architecture and Analysis: Analyse existing or new architecture on projects or enhancements and work to ensure that requirements are progressed through the various forums required to ultimately allow successful setup, working with both architecture and ops team to achieve success.
  • Cloud Migration: Analyse existing infrastructure to identify opportunities for migration to the cloud and provide recommendations.
  • Infrastructure Design: Develop comprehensive architecture strategies and design roadmaps for effective deployment of new environments.
  • Infrastructure Configuration: Configure and optimize infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Resource Utilization: Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper utilisation of services and monitor resource consumption.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for provision and management of all resources.
  • Cloud Environment Management: Monitor and maintain cloud environments, resolving performance issues, malfunctions, or outages.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices throughout all infrastructure configurations.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance, support, and training to end-users on infrastructure and related tools.
  • Project Delivery: Assist with production related problems related to environments, compute, storage, backup and infrastructure and assist with project delivery on projects for all non-functional requirements.
