Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and develop scalable, secure, and robust cloud infrastructure on AWS to support E-Merge's mission.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate the deployment process.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Security Best Practices: Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across all cloud environments.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
  • Cloud Engineering Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • DevOps Practices: Proven experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and monitoring.
  • Platform Engineering: Solid understanding and experience in platform engineering.
  • Kubernetes Experience: Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This is a contract position based in Fourways, offering a salary of up to R50k per month.
