Job Description:

To ensure customer satisfaction and quality, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Process Engineer to provide proactive support and response to customer quality and engineering issues. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Industrial/Technical Qualification, a Diploma or B Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the automotive manufacturing environment
  • High standard of MS Office, specifically Excel

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify correct setup of machines, presses, and auxiliary equipment before machine start.
  • Initiate machine process, make adjustments within process tolerance, and recommend changes for improved efficiencies.
  • Participate in analyzing and resolving process, equipment, and tool issues.
  • Assist in setting up and starting new tools, new equipment.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining other equipment as required, including robotics, injection, and molding machines.
  • Responsible for regular and periodic monitoring of product for acceptable quality and current specifications.
  • Work with limited supervision and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation among and between shifts and departments.
  • Assess skill level and set up appropriate training needed to fill gaps in the department.
  • Coordinate prototype builds and special projects with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering.
  • Perform all assigned tasks per the TPM, SOP, manufacturing alerts, safety alerts, and quality alerts.

  • Highly flexible and adaptable with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team and to work on their own initiative when required.
