About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our team at EDF Renewables.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall execution of large-scale renewable energy projects from initiation to handover, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire scope of the project, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning;
  • Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery;
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies;
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies;
  • Monitor and report project progress to key stakeholders;
  • Identify and manage project risks, including cost, schedule, and quality risks;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including contracts, correspondence, and meeting minutes;
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution;
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in large-scale construction projects, with at least 5 years of management experience;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing renewable energy projects from initiation to handover;
  • Strong technical knowledge of renewables project technology, including wind and solar energy;
  • Accredited training in contract management, preferably FIDIC and NEC Contracts;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks;
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites, both domestically and internationally;
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health insurance, retirement fund contributions, and annual leave.
