Bookkeeper Position
Our client in George, Western Cape is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a regular basis.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial records.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Diploma/Certificate).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is an advantage.
