Job Title: Legal and Compliance Officer

AGC Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Legal and Compliance Officer to join our client's team in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance:
    • Contribute to building and maintaining the 2nd Line of Defense (LoD) function, assisting the 1st LoD in identifying risks and developing controls.
    • Oversee groupwide governance documentation and assist in policy and guideline reviews to ensure compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Assist in training and implementation of policies, guidelines, and work instructions, and draft and review internal policies.
  • Legal:
    • Draft, maintain, and review legal agreements and contracts, prepare standard contracts for company departments, and experience working with tenders and relevant documents.
    • Provide advice during contract negotiations, especially for the Commercial Department, and prepare complex legal documents.
    • Negotiate, draft, and implement the terms of agreements in all business contracts, and oversee legal implications of new projects.
  • Qualifications:
    • LLB degree and admitted attorney.
    • A minimum of 24 years of working experience with at least 2 years in compliance.
    • Proficient in Excel and Word, with a high level of determination and strong understanding of compliance activities and commercial matters.
    • Experience in developing and managing compliance monitoring programs and effective communication skills to communicate internally and externally at all levels.
