Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sommelier to join our crew. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive wine list that reflects the diverse tastes and preferences of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a wine list that showcases a wide range of wines from around the world
• Souce high-quality wines from reputable suppliers
• Provide exceptional wine service to guests in the dining and bar areas
• Train and supervise other crew members in wine service techniques
• Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for guests
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of wines
• Create and maintain relationships with wine vendors and suppliers
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairing menus
• Monitor and control costs related to the wine program
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments in the world of wine
• Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or luxury cruise ship
• Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and food and wine pairings
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional service
• Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
