Bodyshop Manager

About the Role
This role requires a dynamic leader to manage and control the bodyshop's workflow, resources, and equipment levels, ensuring alignment with the company's financial plans and targets. The ideal candidate will have experience in accident repair and bodyshop management, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage resources, equipment, and workflow to achieve operational excellence and meet customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain effective capacity planning and control of consistent workflow within the bodyshop.
- Adhere to operational workshop loading systems, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures, and meeting targets and deadlines.
- Manage daily production coordination and review site KPI performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead customer complaints handling from initial contact to conclusion, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Promote good communication and foster a proactive attitude throughout the team, supporting the achievement of company objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor targets, and identify training needs for team members.
- Lead recruitment activities in partnership with the People team and promote employee engagement and retention.
- Support apprentices' progress and ensure adherence to all Health and Safety regulations on site.
- Lead site achievements of BSI Kitemark and support other Group sites when required.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge and experience in accident repair and bodyshop management.
- Previous experience in a management position with leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to organize office administration, control systems, and financial resources.
- Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle design and manufacture, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry and best practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of BSI Standards and accreditation.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills and excellent communication skills.
