At TechnoServe, we are seeking a high-caliber Enterprise Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of selecting, training and providing support to SMEs in the Enterprise Development program.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and SME growth, with excellent communication and organizational skills. S/he will be responsible for diagnosing individual gaps of SMEs in the program, developing tailored support plans and mentoring entrepreneurs to achieve their goals.
In this role, you will contribute to the refinement of standardized training curriculum for SMEs, drawing on global materials and working with our experts in curriculum development. You will also provide regular advisory services to 20+ SMEs per year, identify market opportunities for growth and diversification and partner with other stakeholders to create opportunities for networking between program pillars.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 5-10 years of post-graduate experience within the private sector and/or development spheres, with a strong understanding of the South African economic, social and development context. You will also need to possess outstanding interpersonal and communications skills in a multi-cultural environment, as well as the ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines.
