Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BCom Honours Degree in HR Logistics and Supply Chain
  • BCom Degree in HR Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education or equivalent
  • 2-3 years lecturing or formal tutoring experience
  • 1-3 years industry-specific experience in the area of specialisation

Job Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain management will include:

  • Delivering lectures and engaging students based on module-specific requirements
  • Managing resources, including academic materials and liaising with the Information Centre
  • Updating the learning management system and providing feedback to students
  • Engaging and preparing students for assessments, identifying at-risk students, and developing assessments in accordance with Central Academic Team briefings
  • Monitoring student engagement and assessment submission with relevant escalation
  • Attending and participating in academic meetings across all faculties
  • Reflecting on, reviewing, and analysing student module results
  • Supporting the monitoring of at-risk students in modules assigned to lecture
  • Completing a set number of academic professional development interventions per academic cycle (one year) that contribute to the improvement of the Brand's Teaching-Learning practice and personal professional academic status
