Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Training Facilitator to join our team at TSU Protection Services. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering compliance and re-training of current operational security officers as well as external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training and re-training programs to current TSU operational security officers and external clients.
  • Ensure all training programs meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain facilitation materials and assessment tools.
  • Administer and report on training programs.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have formal schooling and qualifications including Grade 12, ETDP Course, SASSETA Assessor and Moderator certification, PFTC Assessor and Moderator certification, PSIRA Certification Grade A, and SAPS Competencies for Handgun, Shotgun, Self-loading Rifle, and Manual Operated Rifle.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the private security industry or organs of the state.
  • 2 years' experience as a Range Officer and Tactical Range Officer.
  • SME on weapons and skills training.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in training and facilitation.

Special Knowledge / Skills and Duties:

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Firearms & firearm handling and training knowledge & skills.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • ETDP knowledge.
  • Planning & decision-making skills.
  • Advanced driving skills.
  • Communication skills - English.
  • Knowledge of unit standards & vocational programs.
  • Knowledge of SETA requirements for student registration, tracking & POE preparation.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Customer liaison.
  • Reporting skills.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
