Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply drawings and specifications, with guidance from the Site Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records, including filing drawings and information as per the systems and procedures manual.
  • Coordinate and supervise the setup of sites, under the guidance of the Site Manager.
  • Ensure that plant and equipment are correctly applied, serviced, and maintained.
  • Contribute to maintaining SHEQ assurance and compliance, and implement measures as necessary to ensure legal requirements for the site are met.
  • Inspect and maintain a clean, safe, and secure site, adhering to general housekeeping standards.
  • Assign tasks, ensure materials and equipment are readily available, and inspect progress to ensure adherence to drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate sub-contractor activities, prevent out-of-sequence works, and overlapping of trades in restricted areas.
  • Report any breakdowns, stoppages, or obstructions preventing work from progressing, to the Senior Site Manager, and document accordingly.
  • Complete a daily diary to track site activities.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of subordinates.
  • Mentor junior staff members.
  • Practice sound labor relations and maintain discipline.
  • Assist the Senior Site Manager with grievances and welfare requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Motivate and establish a positive work environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Matriculation certificate
  • Valid driver's license
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage internal teams and contractors
  • Reading comprehension of architectural drawings
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry
