Job Description

Farm Manager SA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Innovator and Sustainability Leader to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and understanding current local corn farming systems, proposing and testing improvements, and developing training programs to increase yield and lower cost price.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Corn Farming: Investigate current local corn farming systems, propose and test improvements, develop training programs to train 8,000 local corn farmers, and manage a small team of extension staff.
  • Corn Drying: Investigate current local corn drying practices, propose and test improvements, train preferred supplier local corn traders, and setup one own corn dryer station.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc in Agriculture or related field.
  • Previous experience in growing and drying feed corn.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
  • Computer literate with strong administrative skills.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
