About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to fill the position of Dispatch Controller at Peoplefinder Career Placements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics of goods transportation, including coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Some key responsibilities associated with this position include:

  • Managing Logistics: Coordinate the transportation of returns and credits, as well as bulk and local outsource deliveries.
  • Communicating with Stakeholders: Communicate with customers regarding orders, ETA's, and late deliveries to ensure that expectations are met.
  • Assisting Operations: Assist with picking, packing, and stock counts as required, and prepare waybills for bulk and local outsource deliveries.
  • Resolving Customer Issues: Handle customer queries related to incorrect dispatch of deliveries and provide solutions.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Matric qualification and 3 years of working experience in dispatch. A valid forklift license with experience of driving is also required. Proficiency in ERP systems would be advantageous, as would SAP experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent leadership and organizational skills. Additionally, the candidate should be customer-orientated and computer literate.
