About the Role

As a Transportation Specialist at IGT Solutions, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and people within our organization.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate transportation activities, including logistical planning, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and adherence to regulations.

You will be working closely with internal customers to ensure their transportation needs are met, performing administrative duties related to employee transportation, and interacting with transport vendors to ensure service delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate transportation activities
  2. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  3. Monitor vehicle hygiene status
  4. Optimize routes for maximum efficiency
  5. Verify statutory documents and licenses
  6. Brief drivers on safety aspects
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders
  8. Prepare reports and dashboards

Requirements:

  • A high school qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of geographical areas of the broader Western Cape
  • Prior experience as a transport coordinator or a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
