Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Expert to join our team. As a key member of our communications department, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective communication plans that meet the needs of our brokers and business units.

You will have a strong background in journalism or writing, with at least 6 years' experience in a corporate communications environment. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, including executive management, client excellence board, marketing, communications, and business units.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and implementing simplified, effective, and fit-for-purpose communication plans that meet broker and business needs;
  • Curat[ing content that stands out amidst the noise, both in terms of language and design;
  • Maximising opportunities to drive communication strategies to deliver the right message to the right target audience, using the right communication channel/s;
  • Conducting communication audits to measure achievement of objectives, including providing reporting on open rate and click rate on all the broker comms from Everlytic;
  • SUPPORTING AND ADVISING SBS DIVISIONS IN THEIR COMMUNICATION EFFORTS TO BROKERS (COMMUNICATION ACTION PLANS);
  • Forming communication partner for cross-function teams within Marketing and Corporate Communication to plan for delivery of communication services;
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders;
  • Engaging and managing a range of suppliers, where appropriate, to help deliver the communications agenda;
  • Collaboration with Commercial Underwriting to ensure that underwriting circulars are easy to understand, professional and meet all our CI requirements;
  • Communicating the benefits of using online tools i.e. Broker portal, App, calculators, etc.;
  • Aligning broker communications with content marketing themes and blog articles;
  • Repurposing PR articles into broker communications and assisting in distributing newsletters via Everlytic;

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our executive management team, client excellence board, marketing, communications, and business units to develop and execute successful communications plans directed towards multiple stakeholders.

You will also have the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver communication services, as well as engage and manage a range of suppliers to help deliver the communications agenda.

As a Public Relations Expert, you will be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive management, client excellence board, marketing, communications, and business units.

You will have a strong understanding of current communications trends and be able to analyse complex information to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change.
