Conova Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our retail stores and licensing company.



Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee all financial aspects of our retail stores and licensing company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Manage a dedicated clerk responsible for capturing cash book, checking system sales, and reconciling bank deposits, creditors, and debtors.

  • Review all payments, wages, store salaries, and head office salaries, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Pass journals, VAT reconciliation, GL/payroll system reconciliation, and reconcile TB, prepare management accounts, analyze, and present to directors.

  • Prepare the annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Meet with insurance brokers annually, evaluating risk vs. cost and presenting to directors.

  • Oversee COIDA, Employment Equity/SDL, EMP501s/IRP5s, and CIPC submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Assist in the rental portfolio by reviewing lease offers, agreements, summarizing, and arranging bank guarantees.

  • Be the key contact with auditors and SARS, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to queries and requests.



Requirements



  • SAIPA/SAICA certification

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience

  • Retail industry experience advantageous
