Job Purpose:

As an Exco Member at Edge Executives, you will be responsible for managing the business performance of the Group (IT perspective) against longer-term strategic and regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute IT Strategies: Develop and ensure the planning and execution of integrated Information Technology strategies that align with the company's vision and mission.
  • Optimize Resource Utilization: Plan and utilize the available skills for maximum effectiveness and productivity, ensuring that the IT function is optimized to support business objectives.
  • Support Business Success: Support and guide relevant workstreams (outside IT) to achieve operational success, ensuring that the IT function is aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage Communications and Resources: Manage communications, internal clients, projects, budgets, and resources as necessary for the portfolio, ensuring that the IT function is well-governed and controlled.
  • Advise the Board: Advise the Board on future digital strategies and global trends relevant to the Healthcare industry, ensuring that the company remains competitive and innovative.
IT Strategy and Management:
  • Define and Implement IT Strategy: Define, update, and implement the company's IT strategy and manage it across the organization, ensuring that it aligns with business objectives.
  • Establish IT Performance Metrics: Define IT performance metrics based on the company's overall objectives, ensuring that the IT function is measured and evaluated effectively.
  • Lead Strategic IT Objectives: Lead the development and delivery of strategic IT and Digital objectives in alignment with corporate goals, ensuring that the IT function is aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and Customize Technological Systems: Lead the design and customization of technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience, ensuring that the company remains competitive and innovative.
  • Ensure IT Security: Ensure the security of IT systems and ensure operations adhere to applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that the company remains compliant and secure.
  • Develop In-Source/Out-Source Strategy: Develop and oversee the implementation of a sound in-source/out-source strategy, ensuring that the IT function is optimized to support business objectives.
  • Oversee Technology Infrastructure: Oversee the development and use of the technology infrastructure (networks, systems, and applications) at Edge Executives to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Mitigate Risk and Prepare Contingency Plans:
  • Advise EXCO and Board: Act as a key advisor to EXCO and Board on Human Resources-related matters, ensuring that the company remains compliant and secure.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify short-, medium-, and long-term risks and ensure mitigation strategies are in place, ensuring that the company remains competitive and innovative.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements, ensuring that the company remains compliant and secure.
  • Manage IT Risks: Identify and manage the company's IT risks and ensure governance frameworks and reporting systems are in place to deliver services, ensuring that the IT function is optimized to support business objectives.
Lead and Direct the IT Function:
  • Establish Strategic Direction: Lead strategic direction setting and strategic planning for sub-departments in the portfolio in alignment with the company's vision, mission, and values, ensuring that the IT function is aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish Performance Management Framework: Establish a functional performance management framework (annual department plan, roles, and responsibilities) to enable annual goal tracking, ensuring that the IT function is measured and evaluated effectively.
  • Define Tactical Functions: Ensure that all necessary tactical functions, policies, and systems are defined, implemented, and managed within boundaries and principles of strategic frameworks, ensuring that the IT function is optimized to support business objectives.
  • Streamline Disciplines: Streamline the disciplines in the department and drive alignment, collaboration, and synergy between the various stakeholders to provide a comprehensive business solution, ensuring that the IT function is aligned with business objectives.
