Senior Manager, Solution Design Engineer

Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Solution Design Engineer will lead the Solution and Pricing department, working closely with Sales and Commercial developments, as well as facility General Managers, to maintain and grow the DSV Solutions business. This role will be responsible for managing the growth of the business through Request For Quotation (RFQ) and/or consultation with new and existing customers, as well as supporting General Managers to renew existing client agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement value-adding solutions for current and prospective clients
- Conduct data analysis, comparison, and sense checking to provide recommendations
- Manage the costing model, ensuring all inputs are signed off or supported by quotes
- Develop relationships with key suppliers and verify productivities used in costings
- Conduct research to ensure productivities used are in line with industry standards
- Apply tools and methodologies as appropriate, including material flow mapping, warehouse and layout design, and problem-solving
- Develop business cases and feasibility studies, as required, to support financial investment and risk profile
- Develop new products, tools, and solutions to enhance the Solutions business and ensure future growth
- Manage client relationships, sales support, and operation reviews to ensure the success of the Solutions business
- Directly support staff recruitment, training, and development, as well as performance management and mentorship
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or environment, preferable
- Own vehicle with driver's license required
- Advanced Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, high work rate, quality of work, and time management to meet deadlines
- Sound knowledge of engineering economics and fundamental accounting principles
- Experience in automation and mechanization with warehouse environment
- Customer service/relations experience
- Project management skills and experience
