Job Overview

Fiskal Finance is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Insights Analyst to join our team. This role will involve working closely with clients and senior financial leaders to design, implement, and continuously improve financial models, budgeting processes, and management accounting and key performance indicator reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Finance Expertise: Collaborate with finance managers and customers in the design, implementation, and control of operational finance systems to ensure data is captured for analysis.
  • Client Servicing: Provide high-quality financial consulting services to a diverse client base, assisting them in achieving their financial objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Consistently review client data to identify areas for improvement in margin, channel profitability, business profitability, and cash flow cycles.
  • Key Performance Indicator Development: Gain a deep understanding of our clients' businesses and develop, measure, and report on key performance indicators that drive growth and success.
  • Data Management: Be responsible for controlling and maintaining financial databases, ensuring data integrity, and providing accurate and timely insights to stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Contribute to the preparation and presentation of management accounts, performance reports, and variance analyses that inform business decisions.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models that communicate strategy to internal and external stakeholders, driving informed decision-making and business growth.
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with finance teams to develop annual budgets that provide clarity on resource allocations and enable effective variance reporting.
  • Board Pack Preparation: Prepare and present comprehensive financial information to the client's board of directors, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes and reporting systems, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • CFA or CA(SA) qualification required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
