JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach for the Department of Fire Protection Engineering. Part-time faculty positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department. Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis.

Qualified applicants will be contacted by the academic department. Your application will remain in the pool until the posting closes. If you wish to be considered for positions beyond that date, then you must reapply.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: An ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field with significant practical experience in the relevant area. Additionally, they should have successful undergraduate or graduate teaching experience. Ability to teach in other areas is also valued.

FACULTY INFORMATION: As a professor at WPI, you will play a key role in shaping the minds of future engineers. You will be responsible for teaching courses in fire protection engineering and mentoring students in their research projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire students to learn.
