Job Description

As a Credit Intelligence Analyst at Capitec Bank, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our financial services by providing in-depth credit risk analysis and performance reporting. You will be responsible for understanding both the technical and business aspects of credit, focusing on credit risk and portfolio management. Your role will be based in the Credit Client Account Management team, which oversees existing credit clients and focuses on a wide spectrum of areas across the credit life cycle.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Client Experience: Regularly review and optimise the client experience across the Account Management strategies.
  2. Credit Risk Analysis: Conducting thorough credit risk assessments to determine eligibility and mitigate risks.
  3. Performance Reporting: Preparing monthly reports, executive summaries, and commentary on credit portfolio performance.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to convey insights and recommendations effectively.
  5. Portfolio Management: Tracking and analyzing credit portfolio performance, providing actionable insights to improve credit strategies.
  6. Proposal Writing: Crafting proposals and reports to support credit decisions and strategies.
  7. Interpersonal Skills: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:
  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis and portfolio management within the financial services industry.
  2. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
  3. Knowledge of programming languages like SAS or SQL – preferred but not essential.
  4. Strong storytelling and proposal writing skills to convey complex information to business stakeholders.
  5. Ability to hold meaningful conversations, influence decisions, and build relationships across the organization.
  6. A relevant degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
