At Anávo | Renewable Energy Recruitment, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager Renewables to lead our operations in South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that align with the overall corporate strategy.

The successful Country Manager will oversee all aspects of our operations in South Africa, including project management, business development, and financial performance. This includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

To achieve this, the Country Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and clients. Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, is also essential.

In addition, the Country Manager will lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities is also crucial.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and driving business growth. A strong understanding of the South African energy market and regulatory environment is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the country's strategic plan in alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Oversee all aspects of the company's operations in South Africa, including project management, business development, and financial performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the South African energy market and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
