We are seeking an experienced Labour Consultant to join our team at Dante Personnel in Cape Town. As a Labour Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' labour compliance and providing expert advice on labour matters.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with labour legislation, collective agreements, and CCMA proceedings. A valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle are essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on labour compliance, labour matters, and labour procedures to clients across various industry sectors.
  • Draft Human Resource documents such as contracts of employment, policies, procedures, UIF documents, and correspondence.
  • Liaise with the Department of Labour, Bargaining Councils, Union Officials, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
  • Represent clients during union meetings, employee meetings, and labour negotiations to identify potential solutions to conflicts.
  • Conduct retrenchments, grievance meetings, and employee counselling sessions, and advise clients on the process thereto.
  • Advise and assist clients with strike management, exemption applications, internal dispute resolution, and conflict resolution.
  • Interpret the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Sectoral Determinations, and various Collective Agreements/Main Agreements and national acts.
  • Maintain and build strong client relationships, network, and provide introductions for new prospective clients.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Labour Consultant.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Critical skills: Communication (written and spoken English), planning, organising, coordinating, good timekeeping, decisive thinking abilities, ability to work under pressure, and strong writing skills.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and programs, particularly Advanced skills in Ms Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is R600,000 - R800,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include opportunities for growth, a comprehensive training program, and a supportive team environment.
