Job Title: Secondary Education Leader

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our educational team as a Deputy Principal at one of our prestigious schools in Gauteng, Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead as a member of the management team, overseeing the academic and timetabling programmes;
  • To conduct parent interviews and respond to parental needs with empathy and professionalism;
  • To implement and maintain a Code of Conduct that promotes a positive learning environment;
  • To co-ordinate events and manage marketing efforts to enhance the school's reputation;
  • To develop Student Leadership and coordinate outreach programmes to engage with the community;
  • To provide academic leadership and guidance, driving innovation and research initiatives;
  • To manage projects effectively and make informed decisions to drive growth and success;
Required Competencies:
  • An open-minded approach to education, fostering creativity and innovation;
  • The ability to motivate and empathise with students, parents, and colleagues alike;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships;
  • Energetic and self-motivated, with a proven ability to use initiative;
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills to manage multiple tasks;
  • Good conflict management skills to resolve disputes effectively;
  • Computer literacy is essential for managing digital tools and resources;
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset;
Requirements:
  • A recognised degree and/or 4-year post-matric Teaching Qualification;
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching and management experience in a similar role and environment;

Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
