We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Expert to join our team at Mediclinic.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data migration and reporting, with experience working with current and new operating systems.

Main Purpose of Job:

  • To coordinate and control all activities relating to data migration and reporting between current and new operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure data migration aligns with policies & regulatory standards, enforcing data stewardship for accuracy and accountability.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Validate, cleanse, and standardize data; define mapping between legacy and new systems; transform data to fit new structures.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct pre- and post-migration QA checks, ensuring data integrity; support User acceptance Testing for accuracy.
  • Data Quality & Integrity: Perform data validation, cleansing, quality assurance, and standardize to maintain consistency and reliability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Coordination: Liaise with Data Migration and Business Units to ensure a smooth transition and address concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement and Post-Go Live Support: Assist in data optimization and ongoing enhancements for improved management.

Essential Education:

  • Certification in data management or a related field or Candidates with 3-5 years of hands-on data migration experience (preferably in a SAP environment) may qualify without a formal qualification if they can demonstrate strong practical expertise.

Desired Education:

  • Data Management/Stewardship qualification.

Essential Minimum Experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience working with data, including hands-on data migration projects.

Desired Experience:

  • SQL, data management, and database management experience preferably within healthcare.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

Required Job Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • SAP data or project experience (SAP migration Cockpit).
  • Understanding of the Private Healthcare industry.
  • Data extraction, mapping, and transformation skills (SQL).
  • Knowledge of data quality and validation techniques.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance concepts and requirements.
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance.
