Farm Manager SA is seeking an experienced and skilled Agricultural Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our farm, ensuring timely and accurate execution of production tasks, managing stock, labor, and production costs, and motivating and mentoring a team of workers.

Salary: R 150,000 - R 200,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of production tasks as communicated by and agreed with the Production Manager
  • Management of stock, labor, and production costs, record keeping and reports to Production Manager
  • Motivate, mentor, coach, and manage a team of workers, with special reference to supervisors and scouts
  • Regular meetings with scouts to ensure Pest & Disease identification and management system run efficiently
  • Communicate and motivate interventions with regards to pest, irrigation, pruning, and other production-related matters due to specific visual interpretation, discrepancies, or deviances from the standard
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Qualification in Agriculture/Farming would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in farming/managerial role
  • Code C1(10) Drivers Licence
