As a skilled Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing annual financial statements
  • Managing the control assessment system (CATS)
  • Assisting with cash flow management
  • Acting as contact for external auditors and providing needed information
  • Addressing auditor queries
  • Completing corporate income tax and related schedules
  • Assisting with transfer pricing documentation
  • Handling provisional tax, deferred tax, and monthly VAT returns
  • Managing statutory submissions and filings
  • Filing expat tax returns and resolving tax issues
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Conducting bi-annual fixed asset and inventory counts
  • Preparing fixed asset reports
  • Supporting the month-end closing and back-up the Finance Manager
  • Preparing journals and ensuring accurate expense recording
  • Assisting with monthly reports and managing deadlines
  • Providing ad hoc reporting as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • SAIT accreditation is preferred
  • MCom in Taxation is beneficial
  • Knowledge of carbon tax is highly beneficial
  • 5 to 8 years post-articles exposure is essential
