Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at HR Genie. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout all aspects of our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and implement quality management systems to guarantee consistency and excellence in our products.
  • Monitor and improve efficiency and productivity within the plant to optimize output and reduce costs.
  • Manage maintenance and upkeep of the facility to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in production processes.
  • Train and mentor staff on new procedures and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance communication.
  • Provide expert advice on engineering projects and new product development.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of production tasks.
  • Oversee project management and deliverables, including sales forecasting and financial planning.
  • Acquire new clients and maintain existing relationships through effective sales and marketing efforts.
  • Optimize throughput and reduce turnaround time through process improvements.
  • Lead and manage staff, overseeing leave, working hours, and personal development programs.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, quality system integration, and procurement processes.
  • Analyze costs and determine pricing strategies.

Quality Control Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementing Quality Control Systems:

  • Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable materials.
  • Authorize in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating necessary adjustments to the production supervisor.
  • Verify finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
  • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work.
  • Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
  • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions and requesting repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to standards and procedures and complying with regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful as a Production Manager, you will need:

  • A matric certificate plus a minimum of 2 years' experience in quality control or a related field.
  • A reliable means of transportation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • An understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
