Main Purpose of Job

As a Logistics Engineer at Flink Recruitment, you will be responsible for initiating and coordinating projects to set up and optimize operational processes. Your goal will be to provide efficient logistics services that meet specific customer needs. You will also manage ad-hoc situations related to logistics processes and activities.

Education and Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Grade 12 (or equivalent) and English fluency (written and spoken). A Degree/Higher Diploma in Systems/Industrial Engineering or a similar field is required, along with 3 years of industry or working experience. Knowledge of the Vehicle supply chain environment is advantageous. Microsoft Project knowledge and experience with MS Office spreadsheets and graphics are also required. Strong Excel skills are essential.

Duties and Key Responsibilities
  1. Determine specifications from customers and organizations, and make proposals for improvement.
  2. Track and ensure that Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved.
  3. Manage the implementation of clients' tender outcomes in their logistics environment.
  4. Conduct quarterly performance reviews of clients' appointed suppliers and service providers.
  5. Provide support on clients' logistics budgeting process.
  6. Calculate and supply accurate costings for all elements of the supply chain for normal and ad-hoc requests.
  7. Seek innovative cost-saving solutions to meet annual cost reduction targets and recommend to clients.
  8. Support the creation and management of Value Engineering (VE) packs.
  9. Support clients' regional logistics projects.
  10. Provide support on operational supply chain activities.
  11. Set up a project schedule, staff with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and report to Management on progress.
  12. Identify, implement, and manage new projects, subject to prior written approval from clients.
  13. Design and implement new supply chain processes, subject to clients' prior written approval.
  14. Re-engineer clients' supply chain flows to improve time, cost, and quality.
  15. Ensure that all office equipment is properly maintained, and the office area is clean and presentable.
  16. Perform any other lawful instructions within the Company's scope of work as and when required.
  17. Step up to assist Management in dealing with ad-hoc logistics challenges.
