Purchasing Role Overview

As a Purchasing Specialist at Ikwezi Mining, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize procurement needs.
• Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services.
• Budgeting and Cost Analysis: Assist in budget preparation and cost analysis for purchasing activities.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and suppliers.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in buying, with a focus on mining equipment and materials.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in ERP software and tools, and advanced MS Excel reporting skills.
