We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ikwezi Mining (Pty) Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Activities: Source and procure high-quality goods and services to meet the company's requirements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Supplier Management: Identify, assess, and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure optimal procurement outcomes.
- Databases and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, databases, and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align purchasing activities with project timelines and requirements, providing regular updates on procurement status and any issues or delays.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and suppliers, analyzing market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in buying, with a focus on mining equipment and materials.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of the mining industry, including its equipment and materials requirements, proficiency in ERP software and tools, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
