Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Process Technician to join our team at West Coast Personnel. This role involves accurately mixing chemicals and other substances according to specific formulas and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Measuring and mixing chemicals according to prescribed formulas and procedures is crucial in this position.
  • Safely operating mixing and blending equipment is essential for maintaining high-quality products.
  • Maintaining accurate records of mixing processes and results is vital for quality control purposes.
  • Conducting routine inspections and quality checks on mixtures ensures adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas maintains a safe working environment.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor promptly resolves potential problems.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of proven experience as a Chemical Mixer or in a similar role is required for this position.
  • Knowledge of chemical properties and mixing techniques is essential for success in this role.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow detailed instructions are necessary for accuracy.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a chemical handling environment is crucial for job safety.
  • An equivalent high school diploma or higher education certification is also preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting would be beneficial for this position.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes enhances productivity and efficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50 pounds is essential for performing tasks.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, noise) contributes to a positive work experience.

This position requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks, but compensation will make it worth your time with a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 annually.
