Role Overview:

The Western Cape Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director: Demand and Logistics. This position involves managing and supervising staff who perform demand and logistics services, ensuring seamless delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and supervise staff who perform demand management and logistics management.
  2. Oversee staff performance, motivate, train, and develop staff.
  3. Conduct staff planning, including recruitment, selection, leave management, etc.
  4. Monitor information capacity building.
  5. Implement strategic sourcing and preferential procurement/BEE.
  6. Maintain broad knowledge on procurement activities and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • A valid code B drivers' license.
  • LOGIS system certifications.
