About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team at Optim-G Sourcing. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure using various tools and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure, as well as a strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices. You will work closely with our product squads to deliver collective outcomes, covering platform provisioning and maintenance, release engineering, operational workflow and orchestration, business continuity, workforce computing, and operations automation.

You will also be responsible for promoting adherence to engineering standards and best practices, developing CICD pipelines, and assuming technical accountability for the successful implementation of changes. Additionally, you will assess and manage technical risks, ensuring non-functional requirements are met, and assist in root-cause analysis of support incidents and issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using various tools and technologies
  • Work closely with product squads to deliver collective outcomes
  • Promote adherence to engineering standards and best practices
  • Develop CICD pipelines
  • Assume technical accountability for the successful implementation of changes
  • Assess and manage technical risks
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are met
  • Assist in root-cause analysis of support incidents and issues

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of Bicep experience
  • Ability to use Powershell as a language, write conditions, permissions, and error handling
  • Ability to write own Bicep
  • At least 10 years of experience with Servers, Dell, HP, Cisco Switches, and routers
  • Good Terraform experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Azure cloud infrastructure setup and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with BICEP
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Azure Cloud DevOps engineer role with Powershell and DSC
  • Experience with various DevOps concepts, tools, and technologies
  • Experience with CI/CD and related toolsets, good understanding with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with operations integrations (e.g., system integrations via API, file transfer, etc.)
  • Experience in Agile framework supporting CI/CD processes
  • Experience with infrastructure and network management (e.g., system patching, middleware upgrade, monitoring, etc.)
  • Experience with local data centre resource management and setup
  • Basic understanding of security and vulnerability management (e.g., firewall configuration, endpoint upgrade, security patching, etc.)
  • Industry/business knowledge of the Insurance market (preferably with experience of General Insurance)
