Job Overview

Objective

The Public Relations Manager at Experian will play a crucial role in developing and executing the organization's external communication framework, emphasizing thought leadership to enhance the brand's visibility and engagement. This position entails crafting impactful content and effective media strategies, ensuring our brand narrative is coherent, timely, and pertinent. The PR Manager will work closely with local teams and oversee the regional PR agency to guarantee the successful implementation of the PR strategy across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Communication Framework

Formulate and implement a regional communication framework that aligns with corporate goals and strengthens our market position; Partner with executive leadership to share visionary insights, opinion pieces, and research that position the organization as a pioneering leader in the Data and Technology sector; Ensure messaging is consistent while adapting to regional requirements and cultural sensitivities.

Media Relations and Engagement

Spearhead the regional media relations strategy to enhance visibility and media presence across various territories; Oversee daily operations of the Regional PR agency to maintain uniformity in public relations initiatives. Create press kit materials, including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, and background information; Manage approvals, translations, coordination, and distribution of press materials; Secure and oversee media coverage for corporate announcements, events, and thought leadership initiatives; Coordinate responses to media inquiries; Represent the region in regular bi-weekly meetings with the Global PR community; Collaborate with company executives to develop key messages and talking points, preparing them for interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances; Write engaging advertorials that align with the brand and resonate with the target B2B audience; Ensure all content is optimized for various channels and platforms, maintaining a consistent brand voice; Work with content creators and SEO specialists to enhance content for search engines; Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product marketing, and social media, to ensure alignment.

Crisis Communication and Reputation Management

Develop and implement effective communication strategies that align with overall crisis communication objectives, including stakeholder communication, message development, and storytelling; Create and maintain communication materials tailored to crisis situations in collaboration with Corporate, investor relations, and business leaders, including press releases, statements, FAQs, talking points, and other written or visual content.

Analytics and Impact Evaluation

Regularly assess the impact of communications to senior stakeholders and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Multimedia, or related fields; 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications within the B2B sector; Proven experience at an international level; Expertise in managing international media relations and a strong understanding of global market dynamics; Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; Proficiency in English, with fluency in an additional major global language being advantageous; Strong communication skills and experience in producing data-driven, high-quality content; Experience in complex organizations and a track record of working on cross-functional projects, effectively coordinating with senior leaders, peers, and junior colleagues.
